Odessa hosts Legends of the Night

ODESSA—The Odessa-Montour varsity track and field teams hosted the annual Legends of the Night invitational, Friday, May 3. There were 16 schools in attendance.

For the girls, Odessa placed eighth overall, while Watkins was 15th. Elmira took first. Odessa's boys were fifth. Watkins Glen was ninth. Trumansburg won first for the boys.
For Watkins, the 3200 meter relay team (Matt Gill, Patrick Hazlitt, Josh Langley, and Adam Meierjurgen) was second in 8:47.00. Gill placed second in the 1600 meter run (4:34.03) and third in the 3200 meter run (10:11.08). Langley took sixth in the 800 meter run (2:12.02).
Maggie Bond won fourth in the 3000 meter hurdles (11:53.02). Sarah Hazlitt was fifth in the pole vault
For Odessa, Dom Chapman was fourth in the 110 meter hurdles (17.01) and fifth in the 400 meter hurdles (1:04.09). Dakota Simpson finished first in the discus and fifth in the shot put.
Lee Sidle won second in the 200 meter dash (24.00) and fifth in the triple jump. In the high jump, Matt Bleiler was fifth, followed by Adam Gardner in sixth.
For the girls, Dana Roberts was fourth in the 400 meter dash (1:04.07) and sixth in the long jump. Haile Searles took third in the 3000 meter run (11:42.09). Sara Simmons won fifth in the discus, while Danielle MacDougall was fifth in the shot put. Brittany VanAmburg was sixth in the pole vault.
