Odessa soccer teams finish the season

GREENE—The O-M boys soccer team played Greene in the Section 4, Class C quarterfinal game, Oct. 31. The score was 2-0. Greene scored twice in the second half after a scoreless first half. The O-M boys team ends the season with a record of 11-6-2.
O-M advanced to the quarterfinal game after beating Notre Dame, 2-1, Oct. 28. Dan Stephens had two goals, one on a penalty kick.
The O-M girls’ regular season ended Oct. 27, with a 4-1 loss to Oxford. Jessica Rhodes had the only goal for O-M. Allison Stamp had seven saves in goal. Coach Burton Brewster stated, “We had a good season. The girls certainly played better than their 7-9-1 record would indicate.”

Football
The O-M football team lost to Trumansburg Friday night, Oct. 30, 35-14. Jared Wardwell had two touchdowns, a four-yard run and a one- yard run. Wardwell also caught a two-point conversion from quarterback Kyle Bailey. Wardwell had 21 carries for 93 yards and two touchdowns and one reception for 13 yards. Joe Markley had 11 carries for 73 yards. Derick Harrington had nine carries for 29 yards and one reception for nine yards.
The O-M football team ends the season with a record of 2-7.
