Outlaw Speedway plans opening events

HORSEHEADS, DUNDEE--With only a matter of days remaining, the Outlaw Speedway Arnot Mall Car Show presented by Lane's Yamaha is set to go with cars rolling in Wednesday night, March 28 and the show running for three full days, March 29-31.
The times were recently released for the driver autograph and photo session as well as the tire changing competition both happening Saturday, March 31. A number of weekly race competitors will be on hand for the autograph session which will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Center Court of the Arnot Mall in Big Flats. Competitors such as Steve Paine, Tyler Siri along with the 2017 Outlaw Speedway Friendly CDJR Modified Track Champion, Matt Sheppard, will be there to put their signature on the line for race fans. Besides Sheppard, all of the remaining 2017 Outlaw Speedway Track Champions have indicated they also have plans to be a part of the autograph session on Saturday.
"This is a great opportunity for the fans to get up close with the drivers that they see in competition every week at the race track," stated Outlaw Speedway owner, Tyler Siri. "We have a who's who list of drivers that have indicated that they will be available for the autograph session on Saturday evening and it isn't just about the top Modified pilots. Virtually every driver that has a car entered in the show will try to be on hand and even many drivers that don't have cars in the show have indicated they will be there as well to greet the fans."
The tire changing competition is scheduled to get underway at 7:30 p.m. again at Center Court. Siri will make available his #5 modified car where teams will race against the clock in changing the right rear tire. Any three person crew, both men and women are encouraged to enter the competition and registrations will be accepted all day on Saturday until the start of the event.
In a recent joint announcement by officials of both Arnot Mall as well as Outlaw Speedway, the Easter Bunny will stroll the halls of the mall throughout the day Saturday.
Friday, April 6 and April 13 will see the track open for practice sessions for any and all competitors that will be racing at Outlaw Speedway during the 2018 season.
Grandstand admission for both practice dates is free and it gives race fans an opportunity to see firsthand the new equipment and paint schemes. A $20 fee for pit entry will be charged.
Pit gates will open both nights at 4:30 p.m. with the track opening for practice at 7 p.m. The season officially gets underway Friday, April 20.
