Penn Yan defeats Pal-Mac

WATERLOO, May 27—The Penn Yan Mustang's brought their season record to 15-3 with a win over Pal-Mac, 13-7, on Friday, May 27.  Penn Yan last played Pal-Mac in their season opener which they also won.  This sectional semi-final win now puts Penn Yan in the final match against the Bath Haverling Rams for the Class C championship. 

Both teams were matched by the end of the first quarter of the Friday, semi-final game.  It wasn't until the second quarter that Penn Yan pulled into the lead by scoring seven goals. 

Dylan Yonts had a total of eight goals, and assisted with four others.  Next was Anthony Luppino with two goals and three assists.  Ryan Maciejewski and Adam Stork both scored one goal and contributed one assist.  JJ Voigt scored one goal, while Rion Davison assisted with a goal.  Brandon Maciejewski served as goaltender the whole game and had 17 saves.

Penn Yan plays in the sectional finals game on Tuesday, May 31, against Bath.  The game will be at 3:30 p.m. at St. John Fisher College.
