PENN YAN—The Penn Yan girls varsity lacrosse team opened the season with a 14-2 win against Mynderse, Monday, March 28.
Mynderse scored once per half. Coach Pat Queener said it was good to start the season with a win. She added this is an early opener, but it means they have more time to improve. The girls play twice more this week.

Kristen Thayer contributed one goal and Maddie Hill had two assists. In the goal, Meg Hopkins had nine saves.  Steinert also led in draw controls.
