Penn Yan lacrosse beats Corning East

PENN YAN—Despite Corning East scoring three goals in the last six minutes of the game, Penn Yan girls varsity lacrosse still won Monday, April 12.
The final score was 7-6.  Courtney Hey, Sam Sisson, and Morgan Bassler each scored two points.  Brooke Wickham also scored one point.  Meg Hopkins, goalie, had six saves.
Coach Pat Queener said when it came to defense, the team did pretty well.  She pointed out that Bassler stayed on Corning East's best player and didn't let her score.  Queener added the offense didn't "capitalize as well as it could have."
The girls lacrosse plays next at Clarence, April 15.
