Penn Yan lacrosse wins, tennis falls; Lakers golf beats Campbell

Penn Yan lacrosse tops McQuaid
PENN YAN-The Mustangs' varsity lacrosse team blanked visiting McQuaid Jesuit, Wednesday, May 18. The final score was 16-0.
Austin Fingar led with five goals and two assists. Conner Fingar and Tate Stewart both scored three goals. Craig Gerhardt added two goals and three assists.
Ben Emerson recorded one goal and one assist, while Nick Griffin and Brandon Smith each had one goal. Gage Ponsetti contributed six saves in goal and Kyle Welker had one save.

Penn Yan tennis loses to Geneva
PENN YAN-The Penn Yan varsity tennis team fell to Geneva, 3-2, Wednesday, May 18.
The Mustangs' wins came in the singles matches. Garrett Warren defeated Pat FitzGerald, 6-3, 6-1. Keegan Baxter beat Abe Porschet, 6-1, 6-2.
The remaining scores were: Jack Arnold, 6-0, 6-0; Eden Slocum and Jarett Alexander, 6-3, 6-0; and Blaise Cox and Paul Pereira, 7-5, 7-5.

Lakers golf beats Campbell
PENN YAN-The Hammondsport varsity golf team beat Campbell-Savona, Wednesday, May 18.
Parker Watson was the medalist with the lowest score of the match (41). Cameron McConnell recorded a 47, while Matthew Cole earned a 55. Nigel Snyder and Alex Davis both had a 60.
With the win, the Lakers' record is 11-4 overall. Hammondsport will compete in the team sectionals, Friday, May 27.
