Penn Yan wins with last second free throws

PENN YAN—The Penn Yan girls varsity basketball team beat Geneva, Friday, Jan. 22, with 11.2 seconds on the clock.
Emily Simpson scored both of her free throw shots at the very end of the game, making the score, 39-38.  She had a total of eight points throughout the game.
The Mustangs' highest scorer was Rachel Roddenberry with 14 points.  She also had eight rebounds.  Catherine Anderson was next with 10 points and seven rebounds.
The girls play next at Newark, Jan. 29.
