PHOTO GALLERY: Penn Yan wins 19th sectional lacrosse championship

WEBSTER―The Penn Yan Mustangs defeated the Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders, Tuesday, May 27 in the Section V Class C lacrosse tournament with a dominating 17-5 score. This is the 19th Class C sectional title for the Mustangs. Penn Yan now moves to 15-3 for their overall season record.
The Mustangs will now face Akron, Saturday, May 31. The Western Regional Championship will be played at All-High Stadium in Buffalo.

For the Mustangs Bradley Voigt had five goals and three assists.  Rion Davison recorded three goals and had four assists.  Sean Emerson had two goals and four assists.  Andrew Perl contributed three goals, while Sam Dirisio had two, and Ben Covert and Craig Gerhardt each had one.
Goalie Brandon Maciejewski made 11 saves.
Davison was named the Class C Most Valuable Player and won the sportsman award.
Voigt was also named the Section V Offensive Player of the Year.
The all tournament team for Class C includes Penn Yan players: Voigt, Austin Fingar, Josh Kinsey, John Luppino and Maciejewski.
