Schuyler teen charged with rape

    SENECA FALLS—The Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Daryl “Jordan” Bryerton, 19, of 2314 County Route 16, Watkins Glen, on charges of rape in the second degree (a class D felony), sexual misconduct, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Thursday, Oct. 13.
    According to the police, Bryerton is accused of engaging in sexual intercourse with two underage females (a 13- and 15-year-old) during the early morning hours of Oct. 1, 2011. Bryerton was arraigned in the town of Seneca Falls Court by Justice Mahoney and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
    The police said a felony hearing was scheduled for Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. Authorities added an order of protection was issued for both victims. The Seneca Falls Police Department was assisted by the Schuyler County Probation Department.
