HAMMONDSPORT—Dundee’s varsity boys soccer team beat the Lakers during Hammondsport’s Homecoming weekend, Saturday, Oct. 2. The final score was 3-1, in the Scots’ favor. By halftime, only Dundee’s Devon Miller had scored, unassisted. Leading the scoring in the second half, James Deane scored next for Dundee. Hammondsport’s James Obrachta scored for the Lakers with 12:17 left in the second half. The ball went in, bouncing off the top of the goal. The final goal, by Dundee’s Owen Maloy, secured Dundee’s win with 2:46 left in the game. Garrick Conyers assisted. Hammondsport led Dundee in corner kicks, 8-3. The Lakers also had more saves, 29, to Dundee’s 16.
