Seneca Santa fundraiser this Saturday

BURDETT - The 20th annual Seneca Santa fundraiser to benefit underprivileged children will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Grist Iron Brewing Co., 4880 State Route 414.
Hosted by Grist Iron Brewing Co. in partnership with Hazlitt 1852 Vineyards, the event will benefit Seneca Santa and Schuyler County Youth. Admission is $15 per person.
This year's event will feature a live and silent auction, 50/50 raffles and music by the Seneca Santa Blues Band.
A non-profit organization, Seneca Santa provides Christmas gifts for Schuyler County's underprivileged children from newborn through age 12. The organization will serve more than 400 children in the county this year.
Seneca Santa depends entirely on community support to fund its charitable efforts. Monies raised are used to provide an age-appropriate toy along with fruit and holiday snacks in addition to the gifts.
Seneca Santa was founded by a group of Watkins Glen businessmen in the 1940s to provide Christmas gifts for underprivileged children. This year, the organization will serve more than 400 children in the county.
Seneca Santa depends entirely on community support to fund its charitable efforts. The organization accepts monetary donations, as well as hats, mittens, coloring books, crayons, family board games and children's books.
The event is open to the public. The brewery will be open for regular business after 6 p.m. on Saturday.
