Senecas lose season opener


WATKINS GLEN—The Watkins Glen varsity football team lost the season opener to Newark Valley, 33-22, Saturday, Sept. 7. 
Watkins had 52 rushing attempts for 265 total yards. The Senecas were 4-for-15 passing for 45 yards. Coach Lou Condon Jr. said Brady Bond had one touchdown.
 Also for Watkins, Tony Simiele had 23 carries for 116 yards, followed by John Brown with 20 carries for 115 yards.
Condon said next was Cole Bliss with 24 yards over two carries and Ian Chedzoy with five yards over three carries. Adam Tuttle also had one touchdown reception.
