Senecas score only game goal in overtime

WATKINS GLEN—Throughout both halves of the Saturday, Sept. 11, boys varsity soccer game, neither Watkins nor Newark Valley managed to score.
Two minutes into sudden victory overtime, Watkins’  Kody Gregory scored the game’s only goal.  With that, the Senecas took the victory, 1-0.
“We had our hands full today,” said Coach Henry Ferguson.  He added, “we need more games like that to see what what we can do under pressure.”
The Senecas made a total of 16 shots against Newark’s goal.  In the Watkins goal, Andrew Conklin had one save (Newark only had four shots).  Watkins also had seven corner kicks.
