Starkey town board 10/15/09 Meeting: Starkey town board met for approximately one and three quarter hours Oct. 15. Attendance: All councilmen were present. No members of the public were in the audience. Action: Scheduled a public hearing at 6:45 p.m. on Nov. 5 to consider the proposed fire contract of $164,216. A public hearing on the proposed town budget for 2010 was also scheduled at 7 p.m., Nov. 5. • A motion to increase wages by three percent except for councilmen. Councilman Fred Shoemaker cast the lone no vote. Discussion without action: Draft of revised zoning regulations was discussed. • Supervisor Richard Burcaw asked the board to consider a noise ordinance. Bids/purchases over $1,000: Accepted the bid from Cam Sutherland Builders of Dundee for installation and materials of a radiant heating system for the highway barn at a cost of $10,300 to be funded by the Energy Grant. Upcoming meetings: Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. in the town hall on Seneca Street in Dundee.
