The Observer will relocate to 7 Main St., Dundee

DUNDEE—On Jan. 22, the property owner at 45 Water St. in Dundee produced a 30 day notice for The Observer to leave the office space it has rented for 17 years. The property owner, Robert Forman, had accepted a purchase offer for his 45 Water St. property from Dandy Mini-Mart.
Dandy Mart currently operates a gas station and convenience store at the property adjacent to 45 Water St.
George Lawson, president and publisher of The Observer said, “Even with short notice and most Dundee storefronts currently occupied we wanted a Main Street location. I am pleased to announce that we will start our 135th year of publishing with our new office location at 7 Main St. in Dundee. The new office is located right next to the Classic Café.” Lawson continued, “Steve Owens, owner of the Classic Café, owns an important Dundee property and operates a terrific local business. We thank Steve for his assistance with our new Main Street location.  Main Street has experienced many recent improvements and I expect we will see that continue in the future.”

Newspaper also opens new Penn Yan office

In addition, The Observer is opening a new office location in Penn Yan at 270 Lake St. Lawson added, “Our growing company now has offices in Dundee, Penn Yan and Watkins Glen.  With our three offices, we are well-positioned to serve our print readers and expand with our new digital offerings.”
