Theater group presents 'Most Happy Fella'

PENN YAN—The  Pennsylvania Yankee Theater Company (PYTCo) will present "The Most Happy Fella" this Friday to Sunday.
Times are, Friday and Saturday, July 23 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 25 at 2 p.m. in the Penn Yan Middle School auditorium at 515 Liberty Street. Tickets are $8 ($7 for seniors and students) available at Longs’ Cards & Books, at the door, or by calling 315-759-9074.
Veteran director Peg Patterson and players from the PYTCo are joined in the production by David Rudari in the role of Tony. Rudari, who is professor of music and choral director at Bethany College in West Virginia, is working with PYTCo as its 2010 artist in residence, giving voice and performance lessons to  the cast and company.
Other leding actors in the show are drawn from across the area: Rosabella, the object of Tony’s love, is played by Corinne DaRoo, and Joe, the handsome young farm hand and romantic competition, by Nick Bessette. Other featured players include Becky Townley, Margaret Griffin and Patrick Fegley. A large chorus of PYTCo members fills out the cast.
