Three Penn Yan wrestlers place fourth


CANANDAIGUA—The Penn Yan varsity wrestling team placed 14th in the Section V Class BBB championship, Saturday, Feb. 8, and Sunday, Feb. 9.


The Mustangs had three fourth place wins. Cole Kirch (126) finished in fourth place, getting pinned by Midlakes' Stephen Strauchen in the consolation finals in 2:55. Derek Sisson (182) was beat by Attica's Phil Wilshire, 1-0. Justin Niver (285) took fourth after losing to Batavia's Joe Amico, 5-3.
