Two people stabbed in Penn Yan

    PENN YAN—The Penn Yan village police arrested William Bailey, Thomas “TJ” Gordon and Samantha Hansen in connection with a double stabbing on Saturday, July 14.
    According to the police, Bailey, Gordon, and Hansen got into an argument with a group of individuals on East Elm Street in Penn Yan and a fight ensued around 11:33 p.m. Authorities explained Bailey allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed two individuals. The report said one victim suffered two puncture wounds to the abdomen and was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital via Mercy Flight.
    The other victim had a tendon cut on their hand and was transported to Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital. The police said a knife was later recovered, believed to have been used in the incident.
    The report said Bailey, 28, 1698 Flat St., Penn Yan, was charged with two counts of assault in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and conspiracy in the sixth degree. Bailey is being held on a $25,000/$50,000 bail.
    Police said Gordon, 27, 210 E. Elm St., Apartment 9, Penn Yan, was charged with two counts of assault in the second degree, assault in the third degree, conspiracy in the sixth degree, and reckless endangerment, and is being held in jail without bail. Hansen, 22, 210 E. Elm St., Apartment 9, Penn Yan, was charged with assault in the third degree and conspiracy in the sixth degree. Police said she was released to appear in court at a later date.
