Watkins beats Newfield, 12-11

WATKINS GLEN—The Watkins Glen varsity softball team beat Newfield, Friday, April 13, on a run batted in by JV player Alexis Naylor.
The final score was 12-11. Coach Jim Scott said Watkins was down in the seventh inning by two runs.
Mikayla Elliott and Jessie Stansfield were on the bases when Jordan Doane hit a triple and drove the two in to tie the score.
Naylor went to bat after that and hit Doane in as well to win the game. Scott explained he had pulled Naylor up from the JV team for spring break because varsity catcher Taylor Chaffee was away.
