WATKINS GLEN—The Watkins Glen boys varsity basketball team advance to the Section IV Class C semifinal game and will face Elmira Notre Dame, Wednesday, Feb. 27. Watkins beat Unatego, 64-37, Saturday, Feb. 23, in the quarterfinals. Jesse Teeter led the Senecas with 24 points, five steals, and five assists. Colin Gates had 14 points. Josh Teeter and Brady Myers each scored 10 points. Teeter also had 10 rebounds and three assists. Myers added 11 rebounds. Coach John Fazzary explained Watkins has not won a sectional title since the early 1950s. He said Wednesday's home sectional game puts the team one step closer to that win. Fazzary said, "This game is one of the biggest games in our school history. (The community's) spirit, enthusiasm, and support will be key to getting a victory."
