WATKINS GLEN—The Watkins Glen boys varsity swimming team lost to Lansing, Tuesday, Jan. 8. The final score was 104-76.
The 400 freestyle relay team (Mike Olmstead, Matt Doppel, Brenton Whiting, and Braedan Fitch) won first with a time of 3:54.86. Jacob Slater also won first in diving. Second place wins came from: Fitch in the 200 freestyle (2:04.00) and 500 freestyle (5:46.46); Doppel in the 200 IM (2:27.18) and 100 backstroke (1:02.89); and Olmstead in the 50 freestyle (24.31) and 100 freestyle (55.29). The 200 freestyle relay team (Olmstead, Ryan DeBolt, Mitch Mangus, and Fitch) also placed second. Whiting won third in the 100 fly (1:05.28). Mangus had third in the 100 breaststroke (1:16.59).
