Watkins ends regular season with loss

WATKINS GLEN—The Watkins Glen varsity golf team lost to Elmira Notre Dame, Wednesday, May 15, and ended the regular season.
Coach Rob Michel explained the match initially ended with 243-243 tie. He said, "Our tie breaker takes us to the sixth player where Elmira scored a 58 and Watkins scored a 60 giving Notre Dame the 16th match and an undefeated season."
Mitch Mangus led Watkins with a 45, followed by Ryan Clark with 47. Keith Rekczis golfed a 48. Matt Estes was 50, Trentin Barber 53, and Luke Flahive 60.
