Watkins girls beat Edison, 51-30


WATKINS GLEN—The Watkins Glen girls varsity basketball team topped Thomas A. Edison, 51-30, Thursday, Jan. 30.


Leading Watkins was Madison Myers with 15 points. Madison Gates had 12 points, eight rebounds, one assist, and one steal. Victoria Goehner scored 11 points, 11 rebounds, six steals, and two assists. Halle Phillips added four points, while Alexis Naylor scored two.


"The girls played a great second half. They really came together as a team. Everyone on the team came in and contributed to tonight’s win," said Coach Alicia Learn.


The Senecas' record is now 8-8 overall.
