Watkins' girls blank Lansing bowlers


WATKINS GLEN—The Watkins Glen girls varsity bowling team topped Lansing, 4-0, Thursday, Jan. 16. Leading the Senecas was Samantha Bradley with a score of 572. Lucy Craig bowled 509, followed by Erika Rhodes with 501. Lindsey Suddaby scored 359, while Megan Daigle had 327. Cheyenne Groves scored 309.


“Sam bowled strong again today, as well as Erika and Lucy," said Coach Ward Brower. “It was senior recognition day today, and I’m going to miss all them, but we still have a lot of bowling left.”


The boys lost 3-1. Mitch Smith scored 446, followed by Steven Bradley with 416 and Austin LaFever with 413. Tristan Zimba scored 373. Wyatt Brower had 368, while Randy Layton added 353.


Coach Ward Brower said, “I was real pleased with the way they hung in there and took the third game."
