Watkins girls lose to Tioga, 58-43

WATKINS GLEN—The Watkins Glen varsity girls basketball team fell to Tioga, 58-43.
The Senecas fought in a home game, Thursday, Jan. 7.  The two teams started out evenly paced, and by halftime were both tied at 15-15.  From the third quarter on though, Tioga started to take the lead.
By the final quarter, the Senecas were down three points to 10 points at any given time.  Watkins would score a two-point or three-point shot, But Tioga would follow within seconds with a basket of their own.
Taylor Chaffee and Jordan Myers were the Senecas' highest scorers, with 15 points each.  Myers and Chaffee each scored eight points within the first half of the game as well.  Myers also had two three-point shots in the final quarter.  Marissa Pike had the next highest amount of points, with nine.  Seven of those points were scored in the fourth quarter.
