Watkins loses to Bath in overtime

WATKINS GLEN—The Senecas' boys varsity basketball team lost to Bath, Tuesday, Dec. 28, in the championship game of Watkins' holiday tournament.
The final score was 64-61, in overtime.  At the end of the fourth quarter both teams were tied 57-57.  Coach John Fazzary said, "it was probably one of the most disappointing loses."  Watkins was nine-for-32 at the free throw line overall and only two-for-ten in overtime.  Fazzary pointed out that Bath was 14-for-22 during the fourth quarter and overtime alone.
Travis Waite led Watkins with 28 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.  Andrew Malaney had 14 points.  Clayton Beaumont and Alec Moore were next with 11 points each.  Moore also had seven rebounds.  Kyle Beebe and Brady Myers both had two points.
Watkins plays next at Thomas Edison, Tuesday, Jan. 4.
