Watkins pulls out a sectional win, 41-38

WATKINS GLEN—After a close game where either team could have come out victorious, Watkins Glen beat Lansing in a sectional game, Wednesday, Feb. 23.
The final score was 41-38, with Lansing failing a last second three-point shot to tie and force the game into overtime.  Watkins was behind, 23-20 at halftime, but regained a lead through the third quarter.
Both Clayton Beaumont and Travis Waite led the Senecas in scoring with 13 points apiece.  Alec Moore was next with seven.  Andrew Malaney scored four points.  Chris Duane and Brady Myers each had two.
Neither time spent much time attempting foul shots.  Watkins was 5-for-9 and Lansing was 2-for-2.
Watkins advances to the next sectional game, Saturday, Feb. 26, at Waverly.
