ODESSA–The Watkins Glen girls varsity volleyball team beat Odessa-Montour 3-0, Tuesday, Oct. 15 at Odessa. The game scores were: 25-8, 25-22 and 25-18. For Watkins, Gabby LaRosa had four aces, six kills, two digs, and nine service points; Maya Palumbo had five aces, seven assists, one kill, four digs, and 14 service points; Amanda Cherock recorded three aces, six assists, one dig, and six service points; Brooke Shaffer added four aces, three kills, one block, one dig, and five service points. For Odessa, Alexis Austin had five points, two aces, two kills and four digs; Leeah Fazzary had three points, one ace and three assists; Vicky Ayers added three points, three aces, one kill and three digs, while Brooke Collins contributed two points, two aces and two digs. Sarah Simmons had two points and a kill. Watkins is now 5-9, Odessa is 0-14.
