Meeting: The Wayne town board met Tuesday, Dec. 8 for 35 minutes. Attendance: All board members were present. There were four members of the public in the audience. Action: Supervisor Dawn Dowdle said the board approved a number of budget transfers. She said funds will be used for road repair in Sylvan Beach. She explained the money was being held in case the public did not approve the water district project, which was voted down Nov. 3. Discussion without action: Dowdle said the recreational vehicle (RV) committee would meet again in January, but no exact date was set yet. Appointments/resignations: The Steuben County Board of Elections released the official Nov. 3 election results. Stephen Butchko took the Wayne supervisor position in a write-in campaign with 176 votes. Dowdle had 143 votes. Upcoming meetings: The end of the year meeting was scheduled for Monday, Dec. 28, at 7 p.m.
