Webb scores three touchdowns in Hobart win

GENEVA—Steven Webb, junior tailback for the Hobart and William Smith football team and Dundee graduate, scored three touchdowns and rushed for 99 yards in the first round of the National College Athletic Association Division III Championship, Saturday, Nov. 17.
Seventh seed Hobart beat the number one ranked (rushing) Washington & Lee University, 38-20. Webb scored Hobart’s first touchdown on a one-yard dive with 3:09 left in the first quarter. His next touchdown, off of a three-yard run, helped the Statesmen earn a 21-14 halftime lead. Hobart opened the fourth quarter with Webb scoring a touchdown from a three-yard run. Overall, Webb had 21 carries for the 99 yards.
Hobart will face Wittenberg, Saturday, Nov. 24, for the next NCAA competition.
