Youth actors present 'Aladdin Jr.'

ODESSA—Youth actors will perform the musical “Aladdin Jr.” at the Odessa-Montour high school auditorium, this Thursday to Saturday, Nov. 15 to 17.
Dream Barn Productions presents Disney’s version of the story, with songs from the animated movie. The new Schuyler theater group’s mission is to provide area youth (ages six to 18) with an outlet for creative involvement in the world of theater. Tracy Gavich is the artistic director and president.
“Aladdin Jr.” tells the story of Aladdin, an orphan who grew up on the streets and has to steal food to survive. He becomes entangled in Jafar’s schemes to make Princess Jasmine his bride.
Performance times are Thursday, Nov. 15, and Friday, Nov. 16, at 7:30 p.m. The Saturday, Nov. 17, show is at 2:30 p.m. Tickets cost $8 for ages 12 and up, $6 for ages five to 11, and free for children four and under.  A portion of each ticket sold will be donated to the Dutton S. Peterson Memorial Library in Odessa.
