State paves Route 230 in Tyrone, Barrington

    YATES, SCHUYLER COUNTIES—The New York State Department of Transportation has started paving approximately 2.8 miles of State Route 230, Friday, July 26.
    According to the DOT, the work starts from Lent Road in the hamlet of Wayne, goes through Tyrone, and ends at Andrews Hill Road in Barrington, Yates County.  The state said the first part of the work is expected to be complete by Aug. 1.
    Traffic will be maintained with a one-lane, two-way traffic pattern controlled by flag persons.  The DOT notes the single-lane may extend up to two miles in length.  The state added a second course of paving will continue in mid-August or early-September, conditions permitting.
