Yates Sheriff arrests Corron
DUNDEE--Former Dundee teacher Amy Corron was arrested after a Yates County grand jury returned an indictment on two charges. The two felonies include grand larceny third (D felony) and scheme to defraud first (E felony). Corron allegedly stole in excess of $3,000 from student funds at Dundee Central School between September 2015 and December 2016. She was arraigned in Yates County court and remanded to the Yates County jail on $2,500 cash, $5,000 bond. Yates County Sheriff Ron Spike previously explained Corron was a person of interest in the investigation for a discrepancy with funds of the Class of 2017. She was an English teacher at Dundee and also the yearbook and a senior class advisor. Corron worked at the school since 2011 and resigned in January of 2017.
