Approval given to redevelop another downtown building
The village of Watkins Glen planning board approved the final site plan Wednesday, Oct. 3 for re-developing the building at 29 N. Franklin St. Robert MacBlane plans to renovate the current structure both inside and out. His business will feature a retail cheese shop as well as a cheese, wine and craft beer tasting room. The current building at 29 N. Franklin St. displays signs for the Seneca Cheese Company which will be re-modeled to accommodate the business. The architect's rendering for the re-developed building at 29 N. Franklin St. includes an outdoor deck area as well as an apartment in the back of the building. The project will be complete in 2019.
