School tables Hall of Fame criteria decision

    PENN YAN—The Penn Yan Central School District board of education tabled a decision on the acceptance of Alumni and Community Member Criteria for induction in the Penn Yan Academy Athletic Hall of Fame, Tuesday, June 28.
    In other business: Adopted one new and one revised policy changes.  Approved creation of three full-time Teaching Assistant positions due to student Individual Education Program (IEP) requirements. The position s are effective September 1.
    • Approved a memorandum of agreement (MOA) between Penn Yan Teachers’ Association and Penn Yan Central School District regarding Building Level Facilitators for Literacy.
    • Also approved a contract agreement between Penn Yan Central School District and Penn Yan Teachers’ Association, effective Friday, July 1 through June 30, 2013.
    The reorganizational meeting of the Penn Yan Central School District board of education will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, in the elementary school cafeteria.
