Watkins runners take second place

WATKINS GLEN—The Watkins Glen boys and girls cross country teams both placed second in the a home meet, Tuesday, Sept. 25.  Four schools competed at the Watkins Glen State Park.
The Senecas' Matt Gill won first place (15:34) for the boys, followed by Josh Langley in second (15:59).   Brenton Whiting took 11th (18:33).   Larry Morris (19:19), Brandon Pike (19:22), and Jacob Slater (19:30) finished in 15th, 16th, and 17th respectively.
For the girls, Samantha Phillips won third (20:45).  Courtney Waite finished fifth (21:48), followed by Hannah Armstrong in seventh (22:32) and Corey Flahive in eighth (22:33).   Amelia Stamp took 13th (23:06), Ireland VanBrocklin 15th (24:45), and Becca McIntyre 19th (27:39).
