Hammondsport school board 05/12/09
Meeting: The Hammondsport Central School Board of Education met, Tuesday, May 12 for 55 minutes.
Attendance: Board member Nancy Torp was absent. Other members, plus school officials and an audience of two were present.
Action: None.
Discussion without action: Superintendent Kyle Bower reported that he and others are working out possible new ways to arrange staff supervisory roles in the bus garage and transportation department.
Appointments/resignations: The board approved the following appointments; Kristen VanValkenburg, tenure; Jeffrey Champlin, earth science, $45,065; Jill Diesel, long-term substitute teacher, $39,588; Jonathan Lowin, summer driver education teacher, $5,000; Rachel Hammond and Neil Westervelt, on-call substitute teachers, $80/day; and Julie Amsden, public relations coordinator, $15,170.
• The board accepted the retirements of Elizabeth Erway and Robert Little.
