Seneca boys fall in sectional finals

BINGHAMTON-The Watkins Glen boys varsity basketball team lost to Newfield in the Section IV Class C championship, 53-48, Saturday, March 7.
Matt Estes scored 18 points, including two three-point shots. Colin Gates recorded 12 points. Luke Flahive added seven, followed by Keith Rekczis with six. Rekczis was also four-for-four at the free throw line and Flahive was two-for-two. Joe Palumbo had three points.
With the loss, Watkins ends the season with a 17-2 record.
