Watkins takes second at state cross country meet
ONTARIO CENTER--The Watkins Glen boys varsity cross country team took second place in Class C at the New York State Championship, Saturday, Nov. 11.
Aaron Planty led the Senecas in 11th place overall (17:30.3). Gabe Planty followed in 13th place (17:31.6). Sean Holland was 21st (17:40.3), while Max Evans finished in 40th (17:58.9). Sam Thorsland placed 70th (18:50.2). Tanner Ryan took 91st (19:19.2). Conlin Wysocki was 119th (20:27.2).
For the girls, Kai Sutterby was 41st individually (22:18.7).

Penn Yan runner competes at states
Penn Yan's Ben DeMoras competed at the New York state Class C cross country championship, Saturday, Nov. 11 at Wayne Central School. DeMoras placed 63rd overall, with a time of 18:43.8.
