Authorities make Dundee drug arrests

    DUNDEE—Authorities arrested and charged four Dundee residents and one Savona resident in a drug bust, Thursday, April 19.
    Yates County Sheriff Ron Spike explained members of the Southern Tier Meth Task Force executed a search warrant at 5716 State Route 14A in Dundee. Authorities said what is suspected to be methamphetamine, marijuana, illegal prescription medication, as well as an active meth lab were found. The sheriff’s office said the house was secured overnight until the New York State Police Contamination Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (CCSERT) could safely recover, sample, and transport the evidence found at the home.
    The official report said the five people arrested were:
    • Connie M. Lathrop, 60, 5716 State Route 14A.
    • Heather M. Bower, 29, 5716 State Route 14A.
    • Melissa A. Bower, 31, 5716 State Route 14.
    • David R. Little, 31, 5716 State Route 14A.
    • Courtney L. Bulkley, 30, 8883 County Route 16, Savona.
    The sheriff said the five people now face federal charges ranging from pseudoephrine purchases in excess of the daily allowable limits, to possession and manufacturing methamphetamine.
    The Southern Tier Meth Task Force is made up of officers from the Drug Enforcement Agency, state police, Watkins and Ithaca police departments, and the sheriff’s offices from Schuyler, Steuben, Tompkins and Yates Counties.
