Barrington town board 08/19/09

Meeting:  The Barrington town board met Wednesday, Aug. 19 for one hour and 50 minutes.
Attendance:  All board members were present.  There were six members of the public in the audience.
Action:  Supervisor Eileen Farnan said the board decided to take no further action on the Keuka Lake universal dock and mooring law.  Clerk Joy Perry said all board members voted yes, except Farnan who abstained.
• The board accepted the justice’s review as presented.
Discussion without action:  Perry said the steep slopes law is still being worked on.
• Perry said board member Freeman Freeman suggested positions on the board should have a set limit.  He also said there should be a policy written up for public use of the town hall.  Freeman spoke again about signs publicizing the town.
Bids/purchases over $1,000:  Perry said the board approved the bid from Cam Sutherland to do the work on the salt storage barn.  It was the lowest bid at $76,282.
Upcoming meetings:  The next regular board meeting is Wednesday, Sept. 9 at 7 p.m.
