Meeting:  The Barrington town board met Wednesday, Aug. 25, for one hour and 10 minutes.
Attendance:  All board members were present.  There were six members of the public in the audience.
Action:  Regular bills were paid.
Discussion without action:  The board heard of a claim filed against the town, Pilkenton/Lancer v.  Barrington.  Clerk Joy Perry said the town is being sued by the family of a passenger involved in a car accident, July 4, on Haley Hill Road.  She added the accident involved the driver being drunk on a town road.  Supervisor Fred Wright and Highway Superintendent Steve Wheeler have already met with a New York Municipal Insurance Reciprocal representative.
• Lauren Snyder, Dundee area health improvement project coordinator, gave a report.  She spoke about the micro-enterprise fund, block grants, and the Everything Dundee store.  Snyder also reminded the board about the Dundee Scottish Festival, Saturday, Sept. 18, at Black Rock Speedway.
• The town board tabled decision on an agreement with the Yates County Planning Board.  The goal of the agreement is to decrease the number of projects going before the county planning board.
• Wright received correspondence from the Dundee village clerk, saying there is no increase in the fire contract.  The amount is $80,498.
Upcoming meetings:  The next regular town board meeting is Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m.
