Boat show returns this weekend

HAMMONDSPORT--After a year off because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent gathering restrictions imposed by the state, the Wine Country Classic Boat Show will return to Hammondsport this weekend. The boats will begin to arrive Friday with public events Saturday, July 17 and Sunday, July 18.
2021 marks the 38th annual boat show and begins on Saturday at 9 a.m. The boat judging will be held at 10 a.m. with the popular boat parade at 2 p.m. Boats from all classes are expected including antique, classic, late classic, and contemporary boats with wood or fiberglass construction and propulsion ranging from outboard to inboard.
The event will also allow many spectators to see the recently restored Finger Lakes Boating Museum, Pat II, Keuka Lake tour boat. It is currently docked in Hammondsport for excursions after its launch earlier this year.
On Sunday the show will continue and run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
For additional information see www.winecountryclassicboats.com.
Events and boat docking will occur at Depot Park in Hammondsport. The event is free to attend. The theme of the show this year is wood and fiberglass boats of the 1960s.
