Chamber will host 'The Winter Gala'

WATKINS GLEN--The Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual dinner and awards presentation Friday, Jan. 20 at the Harbor Hotel. The evening includes live music and dancing, the annual business award winners as well as silent and live auctions.
The auction items will include a variety of products and services. This year a few of the items include the following:
A new chest freezer with meat from Cargill, Angus Glen Farms, and the Watkins Glen Farmers Market. The Corning Museum of Glass glass flowers are a trademark of their gift shop. A dozen of these glass pieces will be available. The Boat of Booze makes its return in 2017. The winner of this package will take home a new kayak full of wine and spirits plus a gift certificate for a two-hour kayak tour with Summit to Stream Adventures. Another auction item is a private dinner for 10 personally prepared by Chef Orlando at Veraisons Restaurant. Someone will also have the chance to win two nights and breakfast at the Mirror Lake Inn in the Adirondacks.
The Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce serves more than 450 businesses. Members include sole proprietors, small businesses, home businesses, corporations and non-profits. The chamber's mission is to advance economic vitality by providing promotion and awareness.
