County fair runs through Saturday

PENN YAN--The 180th annual Yates County Fair, promoted as the "The Friendliest Fair in Central New York!" is now at the county fairgrounds on old Route 14A and continues through Saturday, July 13.
Each day the fair features the 4H Exhibit Hall, playland amusement and midway rides, Rosaire's Royal Racers along with old-fashioned county fair food and drinks. In addition, the nightly musical entertainment for Thursday, July 11 through Saturday, July 13 includes: Thursday, July 11, The John Bolger Band; Friday, July 12, Ruby Shooz Band with the Class Reunion Night 8 p.m. to midnight; and Saturday, July 13 The Swagger Band, 8 p.m. to 12 p.m.
Also on Thursday night, the Outlaw pulling series starts at 6 p.m. and the Demolition Derby is scheduled for Saturday, July 13 at 7 p.m.
Admission is one price at $12 which includes parking, musical entertainment, all grandstand shows, daily shows, the Rosaire's Royal Racers, the livestock shows and the midway rides.
