WATKINS GLEN--Three defendants from a 'We are Seneca Lake' protest have been found guilty by a Reading town court.
Schuyler County District Attorney Joseph G. Fazzary said a bench trial was held Friday, Jan. 20 for the three defendants who were charged with trespassing from a Dec. 16, 2014 incident blocking truck traffic at the town of Reading Crestwood LPG facility. Fazzary said the defendants were instructed by law enforcement officials that they were trespassing and needed to move or face arrest and the defendants refused to move and were arrested for trespass.
The following defendants were found guilty by Hon. David Brockway and were sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge and ordered to complete community service and fined a $125 surcharge.
The defendants are Margaret M. Ehly of Hector, Neil E. Clifford of Trumansburg and Susan A. Zakos of Ithaca.
