DUNDEE--The village of Dundee will once again offer "miles of yard sales" for the annual Dundee Day, Saturday, July 11. The village-wide sales will begin at 8 a.m. and run until 4 p.m. Village residents have the opportunity to set up sales in their lawns for the annual tradition.
Member Services Manager at the Yates County Chamber of Commerce Jody Tyler said hundreds of people attend the annual event, describing it as a "country style shopping mall." Village residents fill their yards every year with an assortment of items they are willing to part with, which can range from rare household items to more common items for lower than store price. Items seen in past years have included golf clubs, children's toys, vintage signs, assorted clothing items, household appliances, TV sets and a variety of new and vintage furniture items.
There will also be vendors in the Seneca Street Park along with several groups offering food throughout the village. The Dundee Rotary Club will be at Martini's Save-A-Lot grilling hot dogs and serving beverages. There will also be a chicken barbecue hosted by the Boy Scouts and a Strawberry Shortcake Festival hosted by the Dundee United Methodist Church.
Many of the yard sales will offer items ranging from antiques and collectibles to different household items.
