Dundee hosts ninth annual Fairy Tale Festival

DUNDEE--Sunshine and a fun time will be promised at the ninth annual Fairy Tale Festival which will be held Saturday, March 11 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Dundee high school gymnasium. The event is free and open to all ages.
The theme of the festival is "Fun in the Sun." Crafts, games and activities featuring a "sunshine" theme will be the order of the day. All children will receive a free bag, insect repellent, sunflower seed packets and a new book. The Cancer Services of the Finger Lakes will be set up with their walk-through inflatable colon display, as March is colon cancer awareness month. The Fairy Tale Festival is a collaborative effort between Our Town Rocks and Reads, DCS TRAILS, Dundee Library, and multiple Yates County health service agencies. Sponsored in part by the Yates County Youth Bureau, the event is a creative step apart from the usual Health and Safety Fair.
