Dundee will hold school meetings

DUNDEE--In January, 2018, Dundee Central School Superintendent, Kelly Houck, will meet with community members in several different locations and times. She will be hosting an hour long conversation where she will listen to community groups, residents and stakeholders. These conversations will provide an opportunity for the public to share their vision of success for the Dundee Central School district. Community members will be asked to comment on questions such as:
• What are we doing well?
• What can we do better?
These community conversations are designed to engage members of the community in the creation of a vision for the school district.
Houck said, "I am excited that we will be taking the necessary steps through the strategic planning process to develop a new school vision for DCS.
"We will be attempting to engage as many individuals as possible by meeting in different venues throughout the month and at various times....These conversations will provide the opportunity for all stakeholders to share their vision of success for DCS."
"Each meeting is planned to last approximately one hour. These are optional and completely voluntarily, [but] I hope community members will plan on attending one of these sessions, their thoughts, opinions and voices need to be heard."
"The information gathered from all of these meetings will be used to identify and create a school vision. This will be done by various attendees who have self selected as wanting to participate as part of the "work group" for the development of the vision," Houck said.

Jan. 9: Our Town Rocks Meeting, OTR Office, 10 a.m.
